About Us
2014-2017
Rhea Coad attended the State University of New York at Canton (SUNY Canton) from 2014 to 2017, earning a Bachelor of Technology in Health and Fitness Promotion. During her time there, she excelled in women’s ice hockey, softball, and golf, demonstrating her versatility, leadership, and unmatched work ethic.
Her college years were just the beginning, laying the foundation for her passionate and successful coaching career, where she now inspires athletes to reach their fullest potential.
2018-2021
From 2018 to 2021, Rhea Coad pursued her Master's in Education with a focus on Student Affairs and Administration at Nazareth College in Rochester, NY. During her time there, Rhea was deeply involved in coaching, serving as the Assistant Women’s Hockey Coach and Softball Coach at the college, where she honed her leadership and player development skills.
In 2019, Rhea’s career took a major leap when she secured a professional assistant coaching role with the NWHL's Buffalo Beauts. Her commitment and expertise led to a promotion in April 2021, when she became the Head Coach of the Buffalo Beauts, marking a significant milestone in her career.
Rhea’s time at Nazareth, combined with her professional coaching experience, has shaped her into a dynamic leader in women’s sports, where she continues to inspire and elevate athletes at the highest level.
2022-2025
Rhea Coad continued to lead the Buffalo Beauts as Head Coach until 2023, further solidifying her reputation as a dynamic force in women’s professional hockey. In April 2023, Rhea made the decision to continue her education while coaching at the Division I level, which led her to Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO. At Lindenwood, she took on a pivotal coaching role with the women’s ice hockey program, blending her passion for coaching with her desire to advance her academic career.
As of 2025, Rhea and her fiancé Rachel, along with their two dogs, Fynn and Bauer, call St. Charles home. Together, they’re committed to making a meaningful impact on the next generation of hockey players. Through Rhea Coad Hockey, they aim to provide young athletes the tools, guidance, and inspiration to develop their skills and take their game to the next level.
